Tween and Teen Summer Programs

A Whole New World makes you automatically think of Aladdin. That fits with our theme of Imagine Your Story for Summer 2020. Just think fairy tales, knights, princesses, dragons, ... you get the idea. Here lately though, the song makes me think of how we are doing things at the library. It definitely is a whole new world.

And in terms of Summer Programs that means Virtual! Instead of the crowds and face to face programs, now it is screen to screen. But, that does not mean that we can't have fun.

Our first Tween program will be June 17th at 4 p.m. We will be making DIY Catapults. Just like they used to attack castles, just a little smaller. OK, a lot smaller. Still, when you are done, you can shoot stuff into the air. Now that is always fun!

The first Teen program will be June 18 at 4 p.m. You will learn how to make a paracord Baby Yoda. Oh, much fun you will have, hmm. They really are cute and not too hard to make.

To find out how to be apart of either program, go to Facebook. Head over to the Central Mississippi Regional Library System page and search groups to find yours. Program information will be posted in the group the day of the program at 4 p.m.

Yes, it is a whole new summer world, but we can make it a great one! All we really need is YOU!
