So I've been a little behind...

on blog posts....

Overall I think the teen summer reading program went well. The Pearl Library had a series of 5 programs and it seemed like everyone who attended had fun! After our etiquette presentation, teens learned about volunteerism with Jennifer Clark from the MS Commission for Volunteer Service. She talked about briefly about her experience in Japan as a teacher. The teens expressed their interest about learning more about the Japanese culture.

The next week we had our finale. We were entertained by Watts Up Jams. After a few minutes, the teens warmed up and became somewhat competitive in the party games. One very lucky teen won a $100 gift card from Target and the library also gave away other prizes such as a movie package from Hollywood Video and a Scene It game. Much fun was had at the finale and I can't wait until next summer...
