Flowood Teens Getting Crafty

We've been crafting in Flowood lately. We made Creepy Cupcakes for Halloween. We may have eaten just a bit of sugary goodness while we worked on our fabulous creations. Our top four spooky winners are shown below. From left to right our winners were Logan B. - 1st place, Josie B. - 2nd place, and Abigail S. & Abby W. tied for 3rd place.

For our November craft, we made galaxy jars. We had a good time eating pizza and creating colorful, glittery galaxies. As we discovered, glitter gets everywhere, even when you think you were careful! Also, it turns out you cannot put too much yellow dye in your galaxy. The more yellow, the better! Below is our group showing off their cool creations.

Our December plans are to meet on December 12th at 6pm to make some spa gifts for family and friends. What's better than to give your own homemade creation (that you get to make with your library friends for FREE)?! Maybe to keep it for yourself! We will be making lavender bath salts and decorating the jars for gifts. Shhh, we'll never tell if you decide to keep it for yourself!

Finally, on December 26th at 6pm we are going to hang out and watch the 1984 movie Gremlins. We will have have free popcorn and drinks to enjoy while we learn why you NEVER let them eat after midnight and NEVER get them wet! Bring a blanket and pillow and camp out on the floor with us to watch this holiday classic! This 1984 movie is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and is rated PG. It runs for 106 minutes.

All teen programs are designed for youth in 6th-12th grades. Programs are free and all supplies are provided.
