A Universe of Fun with Teen Night Events at the Flowood Library

We have a lot of fun events planned for Summer Reading this June. We kicked off our Teen events on June 6^th with paper lantern planets and spaceships! Our teens demonstrated a universe of diversity with their designs. They also enjoyed pizza, crazy bread, and sodas thanks to generous donations from a parent and the Friends of the Library.

Next week on Thursday, June 13^th, at 6:30pm we will have Movie Night with a Twist. We are going to watch Mystery Science Theatre 3000 The Movie and talk back to the characters as they make bad decisions. This is your chance to talk during a movie as you always wanted to do. Bad filming and bad costumes? We want to hear about it! We will provide pizza again, compliments of the Friends of the Library and our new co-sponsor of teen nights, Little Caesars Store #156! Sodas and popcorn will also be available free of charge, while supplies last. 

This 1996 release is produced by Universal Pictures/Gramercy Pictures.

It has a run time of 1 hour and 13 minutes and is rated (PG-13).

Tweens2Teens @ Mendenhall Library

Mendenhall Public Library is the place to be for Tweens2Teens this summer! We have a couple of great programs lined up just for you! 

Starting with a blast from the past: we will be watching Star Trek III: Search for Spock, 1984 Paramount Pictures film, rated PG, 105 minutes. This program is scheduled for June 11^th at 3 pm. We will be watching this featured film in the Community Center and will have plenty of concession popped popcorn and ice-cold drinks! Bring a pillow and a blanket if you would like to stretch out on the floor!

On July 2^nd at 3 pm, Tweens2Teens are invited to join us for painting! We will be painting Galaxy Rocks! Be sure to wear old clothing, as the paint will not wash out. We will have everything here needed to paint! Just bring your imagination and a friend! Refreshments will be served, so no need to pack a snack!

Teen Movie Saturday @ Pearl

Did you know that the Pearl Library now shows movies in the teen center EVERY SATURDAY?  These movies are selected with teens in mind, and our teen program participants help us select the titles.  Bored on a Saturday afternoon? We've had so much fun planning for the fall and winter and we hope you can join us! Here's what October has in store.

October 18th @ 5:30 we'll take a break from arts and crafts to have a Halloween Movie Matinee for teens! Feel free to dress up, and come hungry because we'll have snacks! More info coming soon!
